The ADM-2000 Range
The ADM-2000 series of cabinets have been specifically designed to incorporate the features of the previous series but with increased robustness and a more economic price.The main design criteria include secure containment of the extinguisher combined with quick and easy access. To achieve the improved robustness and durability the cabinets are now rotationally moulded out of 5mm Microcene, a new polymer based on Metallocene Technology. This material has excellent chemical and weather resistant properties together with being flame retardant and UV-stabilised.
Both types are designed to contain up to 12kg capacity extinguishers with bottle diameters of 170-195mm and up to an overall height of 670mm. The extinguisher itself is retained within a triangular formation of two moulded-in runners and a self-adjusting bow spring.
Both types now include a sponge – filled weatherproof seal which grips the top lip of the cabinet and compresses against the underside of the lid.Considerable effort has gone into manufacturing a cabinet that retains the strength of the previous metal framed type whilst being only half the weight (5kg).
The base and rear has moulded returns and castellation to provide this strength together with an abundance of fixing/locating positions. A series of reinforced fixing holes, to line up with our standard brackets, are also available.
We produce both the standard ‘red lid’ type and the clear-lidded version with an improved over-centring catch together with a retaining pin for extra security (see inset).The ‘red lid’ version of the cabinet features a substantial grip handle and a specially moulded-in fire extinguisher graphic, conforming to the latest ‘Safety Signs and Signals’ Regulations, 1998.
All of the above, we believe, makes the new ADM-2000 series of fire extinguisher cabinets the best on the market and the ones to which others are compared.
